Smaak: In de mond mooi rijk met veel structuur en hints van jam. Een lange bewaarpotentieel!
Food pairing: Goed te combineren met zware vleesgerechten, wild, en sterke rijpe kazen
Vinificatie: Deze Syrah druiven worden verbouwd rondom de heuvels van San Gimignano. Het behoort tot de uno di quattro lijn van het wijnhuis Niccolai. De wijnen van de uno di quattro lijn worden uitsluitend gemaakt in de beste jaren! Dus niet van elk jaar wordt er een uno di quattro gemaakt. Het is een speciaal geselecteerde wijn waar met volle aandacht en zorg aan gewerkt is. De druivenranken zijn meer dan 15 jaar oud en dat merk je in de wijn, zeer veel concentraat! De druiven worden handmatig geoogst en daarna volgt er een accurate selectie op kwaliteit in de wijnkelder. De wijn heeft na de fermentatie op cementen vaten een houtrijping gehad van maar liefs 36 maanden in kleine Franse barriques. Daarna minimaal 6 maanden gerust in de fles.
Rijping: 36 maanden in Frans barrique en 6 maanden in de fles.
